Students who first enter grade nine in or after September 1998 and prior
to September 2000, must pass the Regents examination in global history and
geography. A score of 65 shall be
considered passing for a Regents endorsed diploma. For a local diploma a score of 55-64, as determined by
the school, also may be considered passing.
Students who enter grade nine after September 2000
and prior to September 2001 must score at least a 65 on the Regents
examination in U.S. history and government to earn either a Regents
endorsed diploma or a local diploma.
Students who enter grade nine after September 2001
a must score at least a 65 on the Regents examination in U.S.
history and government to earn either a Regents endorsed diploma
or an Advanced Regents endorsed diploma.
