Working with Rotations
Answer the following questions dealing with rotations.
Explanation The pinwheel is spinning in the opposite direction to the hands on a clock.
Explanation There are 4 blades on the fan. Divide 360 degrees by 4. The blades are 90 degrees apart.
Explanation The rotation has been 90 degrees.
Explanation Notice the movement of A to A' and so on. It is in a clockwise direction.
Explanation Remember 45 degrees is half of a 90 degree movement.
Explanation Remember the letters which label the diagram do not have to be rotated.
Explanation The rotation is 90 degrees clockwise. Or it is 270 degrees counterclockwise.
