Answer the following questions relating to reflections.

1.  A person is sitting 4 feet away from a mirrored wall.  How far away from the person will his/her reflection appear to be?

 

 

2.  Why does the word AMBULANCE appear in the following form on the front of rescue vehicles?

a.  When viewed by a person looking out of the back window of an automobile in front of the rescue vehicle, the word AMBULANCE can be clearly read.
b.  When its reflection is viewed in a rear view mirror, automobile drivers can clearly read the word AMBULANCE.
c.  The word is clearly visible to the driver of the ambulance.
