Have students complete a pairs check for practice.  Write four or six equations on a worksheet and list them in two columns, two or three on each side.  Label each side A or B.  Place students in pairs and have one student complete side A and the other side B. When each has finished their side they should switch and check each others work.  When they both agree the answers are correct they should bring their work to you for verification.

Solving these equations requires a lot of computation and it is beneficial for students to give each other support while working them out.
