The Global History and Geography course used to
be organized by region and was called Global Studies. During this
time, the exams issued by the state contained multiple-choice
question items much like the ones found on the current exam. However,
the essays on these older exams were more traditional, and therefore
constructed differently than the modern thematic and DBQ essays.
These older exams, particularly the multiple-choice
sections, may still be used to review for the new Global History
and Geography Regents Examinations.
