Part B Sample CRQ
A student using a sling psychrometer obtained a dry-bulb reading of 20°C and a wet bulb reading of 16°C for a parcel of air outside the classroom. State the dewpoint.

Answer: 14°C.

Explanation: To find Dewpoint you need to use page 12 of the Earth Science Reference Tables. First subtract the dry-bulb from the wet-bulb which equals 4°C, locate this number on the top of the dewpoint chart. Then locate the dry-bulb temperature that is 20°C. Go over from 20 and down from 4; the answer is 14°C.
